The FWMH is administered by a Board composed of nine members.
Jacques Corcos, president

Dr Jacques Corcos is a professor of surgery (urology) at McGill University in Montréal. Formerly head surgeon at the Bambari Hospital in the Central African Republic, he has constantly been implicated in voluntary aid efforts in Africa and elsewhere in the world. In 2008, he served as Secretary General of the Continence Society of which he is presently an executive member. In addition to presiding MMS, he is in charge of organizing surgical missions to treat women suffering from obstetrical fistula.
Suzanne Mathieu, secretary A trained jurist, Suzanne Mathieu received a degree in Law from the Université de Montréal, and was a member of the Barreau du Québec until she retired in January 2008. She also holds a degree in Social Law from the Université de Lyon, France and a degree in international Public Administraion from the École nationale d'Administration publique du Québec. She sat as an administrative judge for close to 30 years, Since her retirement, she has taken several sourses in international development at Université de Montréal. She was a board members of Club 2/3-Oxfam for over 5 years and has lived in West Frica. She is a volunteer advisor SACO-CESO from who she has carreid out assignments in West Africa.
Catherine Coulombe, treasurer
Catherine Coulombe earned a Masters in Fiscal Law at HEC in Montréal and now works with the accounting firm KPMG. She also has a trilingual Bachelors degree in finance. In 2006, she took part in a volunteer misison in Peru assisting children and staff in an orphanage. Since she has always wished to be involved herself in a development project, she is very happy to hold the position of treaurer of the MMS Foundation.
Ryad Bedjaoui, member
Ryad Bedjaoui is educated in Finance and International Management, After 15 years in the import- export agrifood industry, he is now and international business consultant and a promotor of the Canadian investors' program.
Amyn Benhassi, member

Amyn has a degree in business management, in marketing and electronic commerce. He is actively involved in several humanitarian associations.
Maria Cherba, member
Maria is a Masters student in Communication at the Université du Québec in Montréal. She has a great interest in intercultural communication and is studying the issue of health-care in relation to Montréal’s immigrant population.
Julie Desalliers, member

Julie is a third-year medical student at McGill University. Her specific interest is international women’s health from a medical, sociocultural and political perspective. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in anthropology with a particular focus on gender and family planning in Burkina Faso, where she spent several months in the field. She also has training in qualitative research and has worked for various organizations (MÉOS, CINBIOSE, Direction de la santé publique de Montéal, PRAM).
Erica Pomerance, member

Erica is a documentary filmmaker, researcher and translator who has made numerous films in West Africa, including several that focus on women’s reproductive health. Dabla! Excision (2003) and Caravane (2009) both document the important grass-roots movement to eliminate female genital mutilation; Operation Survival (2010) examines efforts to provide treatment and support to women living with obstetrical fistula in Mali. A founding member of les Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal, she sits on the Board of the ARRQ (the Québec directors’ association) and the Conseil des Arts de Montréal.
Arnaud Vanier, member

Arnaud is a law student at the Université de Montréal. To satisfy his need to effect social change, he has invested himself in a number of worthy causes as leader of the Children’s Care International youth wing and as head trainer for a swim team in the Québec Special Olympics. Arnaud was also co-founder of the Coup de coeur triathalon which raised money for a surgical mission to Africa. He has received several distinctions for these activities.
Stéphanie Breton, member
Stephanie Breton studied at University of Montreal and obtained a degree in Communication Sciences. She now works as a Marketing Manager in the Tourism industry. Acquainted to humanitarian needs as a child, it is with great joy that she joined the board as the fund raiser champion.
