The MMS Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created in Montreal in 2011.
 

Our mission is to treat and prevent vesico-vaginal (obstetrical) fistula in African women, as part of the worldwide effort to improve maternal health.

Our objectives:

• To offer medical and surgical treatment to women living with obstetrical fistula.
• To assist the physical, psychological and social rehabilitation of women who have been treated for obstetrical fistula.
• To develop awareness and prevention programs to reduce the incidence of fistula.
• To provide training to reinforce the capacities of local healthcare centers and professionals
• To increase awareness in Canada about maternal health issues in African countries
